HOW IT WORKS

Four Steps to Smart Sanitation

A hybrid event-driven and threshold-based control system that detects, responds, and reports — all automatically.

Sense
MQ-series gas sensors continuously measure odour levels. Ultrasonic sensors monitor water tank depth in real-time inside each toilet compartment.
Respond
When odour crosses the threshold, ESP32 automatically activates exhaust fans and triggers the solenoid valve for a spray-and-flush cycle on the floor.

Alert
The master ESP32 sends SMS alerts to maintenance staff when water levels are critically low or odour remains high after the automated cleaning cycle.

Monitor
All four toilets per coach are displayed on a real-time web dashboard — odour ppm, water %, fan/valve status, LED indicators, and voice alerts via DFPlayer.

A master ESP32 manages the web dashboard, cleaning triggers, and SMS alerts. A slave ESP32 monitors additional toilets and streams data over WiFi — scalable to any coach length.

Odour Detection System
MQ-series gas sensors precisely detect hydrogen sulfide, ammonia, and other foul-smelling gases at parts-per-million accuracy. Threshold-based triggering ensures no false alarms.

Water Level Monitoring
Ultrasonic distance sensors mounted inside water tanks measure depth continuously. When levels drop below a safe threshold, the system generates an alert before the tank runs dry.

When odour is detected, the microcontroller triggers exhaust fans to ventilate and opens a solenoid valve connected to a floor sprinkler — cleaning without human intervention.

STARTUP STRATEGY

Scalable from Premium to Network

We deploy first in Vande Bharat, Tejas Express, and AC coaches — proving value where expectations are highest, then scaling to the entire fleet.

Target Vande Bharat, Tejas Express, and AC coach segments where hygiene standards are critical and maintenance budgets exist. Build proof of concept and gather performance data.

Phase 2 — Network Rollout
Modular hardware design allows one master node per coach, connected to a central cloud platform. Railway authorities get fleet-wide sanitation monitoring across entire routes.

Phase 3 — Beyond Railways
The same platform adapts to metro trains, airports, bus stations, and public sanitation facilities — opening a significantly larger addressable market for CleanSense AutoSan.
